Prime Minister Tony Abbott, has been urged to lead the discussion at the forthcoming G20 Summit and exert the necessary pressure on Turkey to recognise the Republic of Cyprus and withdraw its naval interference from Cyprus’ EEZ, facilitating the peace process for the benefit of all, including Turkey.
PASEKA President Procopiou wrote to Mr Abbott and urged him to exert all his influence on Turkey to comply with UN SC resolutions and EU directives to withdraw their army and recognise the Republic of Cyprus.
Mr Prokopioy says all Australian Greek and Cypriot people will be grateful to the Australian government if it decides decide to act in order to save the peace in this very sensitive area of the world.
