Aegean Airlines will provide an additional three aircraft to distribute the Holy Fire to different parts of the country once it arrives in Athens from Jerusalem on Easter Saturday, the company said this week.

A total of 11 flights have been chartered solely for the transfer of the Holy Fire.

Those flights are to Ioannina, Corfu, Cephalonia, Zakynthos, Larissa, Alexandroupoli, Limnos, Lesvos, Samos, Kos and Myconos.

Some scheduled commercial flights on Saturday – to Iraklio, Hania, Rhodes, Santorini and Thessaloniki – will also transfer the Holy Fire.
