Year 10 and 11 students across New South Wales are being given an exciting opportunity to take part in the Premier’s Anzac
Ambassadors Program.

As part of the First World War’s centenary year, the exciting initiative will see those selected taken on a tour of the historic Anzac sites, including Athens, Lemnos and Crete in Greece, Paris and the Somme in France, in addition to Belgium’s Ieper.

With just six spots up for grabs, to enter, students are required to write a 1,000 word essay on the topic ‘Why the Centenary of ANZAC is important for modern Australia’.

The essays will be chosen by a panel of judges, including the Hon. Natasha Maclaren-Jones, Major General Warren Glenny and former premier Nathan Rees.

Those successfully selected for the scholarship will be required to keep a diary and report back about what they experience over the
10-day tour.

Entry submissions can be made via email to anzacambassadors@clubsnsw.com.au until 5.00 pm on Friday 18 December, 2015.
