Passengers using the KTEL inter-city buses to travel from Thessaloniki to Athens will be able to book their tickets electronically from mid-August.

By visiting the KTEL Thessaloniki site (www.ktel-thes.gr), passengers will be able to reserve a seat and pay for their ticket without having to arrive early at the depot to do so in person.

“The number of passengers using the line to Athens is dropping by 10 to 15 percent each year,” said KTEL Thessaloniki President Triantafyllos Triantafyllidis.

“This is why we are making a move that we think might help reverse this downward trend.”
