According to the annual report of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, which was published last week, the managing director and chief executive officer of the bank, Ian Narev, was paid in total for the year to June 2014 with 7.9 million dollars, or 151,941 dollars per week, an annual rise of 3 per cent.

It is noted that the chief of the ANZ, Mike Smith, has an annual salary package in the vicinity of 10.1 million dollars, whilst Gail Kelly, chief of Westpac, has a package of 9.6 million dollars per annum.
