As part of the November-into-December theme ‘Architecture in the City’, which coincides with Dale Campisi’s triple MPavilion walking tour, on Sunday 11 December the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) will perform a series of free concerts.

Campisi’s soon to be released self-guided tour project, designed by Open House Melbourne, includes a performance at each site of the three MPavilions.

Presented by ANZ, musicians from the MSO will perform three stirring performances, while the second concert of the day will see Sean Godsell’s MPavilion 2014 at the Hellenic Museum play host to the MSO’s string and oboe quartet performing works by Telemann, Mozart, Borodin and Beethoven.

The quartet includes violinists Kathryn Taylor, Rachel Homburg and cellist Miranda Brockman, alongside Michael Pisani and his oboe.

The performers will execute Telemann’s Trio Sonata in E minor for Violin, Oboe and Cello (4 movts), Mozarts Adagio for Cor Anglais for two Violins and Cello, Borodin’s String Trio in G major, 1st movement (Allegro) and Beethoven’s Trio for Oboe, Violin and Cello.

This is a free event presented by ANZ in partnership with Places Victoria and the Hellenic Museum.

When: Sunday 11 Dec 2016, 3.00 pm–3.30 pm
Where: MPavilion 2014, Hellenic Museum, 280 William Street, Melbourne, VIC
