Big comebacks are not uncommon in basketball games, but when it happens twice in the same game, once by each team on the court, it is really remarkable.

The exciting Greek basketball league offered fans just that in the game between Kolossos Rhodes and Apollon Patras.

Apollon led by up to 19 points in the second half, but Kolossos came back to lead by seven points (82-75) with one minute left to play. Apollon scored nine unanswered points in the last minute of the game to win it 84-82 and reach the seventh spot at the A1 table.

Leader Panathinaikos strolled to an 83-63 defeat of Trikala in Athens on Sunday, to stay two points ahead of Panionios, that beat KAO Dramas 77-71 at home, and three points ahead of Olympiakos that shook off a rather poor first half to down host Ikaros Halkidas 87-64.

PAOK and AGO Rethymnou played a spectacular game at Thessaloniki that had the host win 97-90 and hold on to the fourth spot.

One point behind PAOK is Nea Kifissia that recorded its seventh win in the last eight games, beating visiting Aris 81-74.

Ilisiakos scored a much-needed 84-75 home win over fellow struggling Panelefsiniakos to boost its chances of survival, with 19 points from unlikely hero Periklis Dorkofikis.
