A report is alleging that convicted November 17 hitman Dimitris Koufodinas has applied for a second furlough through the prison’s parole board.
It is alleged that it is “unclear” whether his new request to “meet friends and relatives” will be granted.
According to furlough laws, Koufodinas is able to apply for furlough after his initial leave after 60 days. During a furlough he would be required to report twice daily to authorities.
Mr Koufodinas, 59, who is serving 11 life sentences at Korydallos prison in Athens, previously applied and received a 48 hour furlough last year despite international concerns.
During his first furlough last year he arrived at prison 90 minutes ahead of his deadline, and was accompanied by his wife and son.
The November 17 group was found guilty of bomb attacks and for the killing of 23 prominent Greek authority figures, including Ministers and diplomats from the US, Turkey and Britain.
