If you’re a betting person, every little bit of information can help. Perusing match previews, tracking injuries and hanging off the coach’s every word might be a sure fire way to getting the upper hand against your average punter, but here at Neos Kosmos, we do things a little differently.

Our bets have been psychic approved.

That’s right, we’ve interviewed not one, but two Greek Australian psychics to find out who will be holding the AFL premiership cup on Saturday.

Both teams definitely deserve the trophy, but one team in particular has more of an upper hand our psychics tells us.

If the cards are right, we’ll be looking at an MCG bathed in red and white. Both psychics, without knowing what the other’s reading came up with tipped the Sydney Swans winning the match.

They differed with the margin of points at the final siren.

Tasmanian Greek Australian psychic, Cassandra Knight says her reading came up with the Swans as clear winners, while Hawthorn look like they’ll be
good sports about the loss.

“I think the Sydney Swans will win, Hawthorn will put in a good game,” she says.

“When I do a reading for it it’s showing the Swans celebrating and Hawthorn showing a supporting role, meaning they’re not the winners but they’re second.”

She thinks the Swans aren’t going to win a “long margin” and feels the match will be close.

For fellow psychic, Leonidas Kolokathis, his reading was much more specific and believes Hawthorn will have the upper hand in the first half.

“I think that Hawthorn will probably trump Sydney in the first quarter, so Hawthorn will be leading in the first quarter, I think Sydney and Hawthorn will be quite even in the second quarter and in the third quarter Sydney will come back and put their foot down and really get ahead and it will get even in the last quarter with Sydney just holding on,” he tells Neos Kosmos.

Amazingly, when he first read the match, he saw the Sydney Swan colours and the number 16, something Leonidas interprets as meaning the Swans will win by a margin of 16 points.

This was the first time Leonidas had done a reading on a sporting match, so doesn’t know how accurate his reading will be.

For Cassandra, the reading was only the second sports related prediction she’s done.

She correctly predicted the Marcos Baghdatis and Roger Federer Australian Open match, even if she was rooting for the Greek Cypriot to win.

“I did predict it correctly, and I remember wanting the Greek guy to win,” she says with a laugh.

All will be revealed on Saturday, but at least for them, their predictions come with quite good odds regardless.

It’s still a 50/50 chance.
