Born in Athens, Dimitris Dassios made a name for himself as an actor before trading in the stage for a needle and thread and starting up his own accessory label.
In May this year the first Dimitris Dassios boutique opened in the centre of Athens.
His passion for decorative arts found an outlet through the design of jewellery and accessories and Dassios creates original designs influenced by contemporary art movements and innovations.
Dassios is known for his colourful boho jewellery and leather creations which incorporate a bold use of colour.
He also has affection for rare and alternative materials, including pleated metals, crystals and embroidery, that provide his work with a unique sculptural element.
Each collection is always handcrafted and either one-of-a-kind or limited in their number.
Dassios and his unique collections are always a regular fixture at Athens, Milan and Paris fashion weeks and his accessories are now sold in 40 high-end boutiques throughout Europe and the world.

For spring/summer 2010 Dassios has created a collection of silk and leather accessories, including bags, jackets and vests.
This year’s collection has been inspired by nature and is reflected in the natural earth tones and vivid colours used.
There are plenty of textures to be enjoyed including suede and snakeskin, all featuring Dassios’ trademark embellishment and embroidery.
