Greece’s Manpower Organisation (OAED) will activate two new employment subsidy programs for the private sector in the next few days, offering jobs to 21,620 unemployed individuals.
The first program, budgeted at 112 million euros, concerns 16,620 jobless people aged 29 to 64, mainly without any notable qualifications. The necessary ministerial decision will be signed in the coming days so that the program can start running next month. It includes 100 hours of theory training and 300 hours of work experience.
The second, budgeted at 27 million euros, provides for the subsidized hiring of 5,000 unemployed aged between 25 and 66. The ministerial decision has already been published in the Government Gazette and OAED is about to make an announcement on the matter.
