Football Federation Australian chairman Frank Lowy fell off stage at the A-League grand final after he stumbled on his way to present Melbourne Victory coach Kevin Muscat with the championship trophy.

The 84-year-old was rushed from the AAMI Park to the hospital, to find out that fortunately the nasty fall left him with a sore shoulder and no serious other injuries.

“Lowy received treatment from paramedics on the scene and was cleared of any serious injury,” a FFA spokesperson said.

“He has soreness in the shoulder from the fall, but is otherwise OK.”
