Held at Warner Bros Studios on October 24, the Mad Max director was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award by model and actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who appears in Fury Road.

The EMA awards recognise celebrities who are environmentally conscious and devoted to eco-friendly living.

The director made reference to his Greek upbringing on a farm as an influential factor as to why he is so conscious of the environment and caring for the planet.

Miller joins previous honorees Don Henley, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kristin Davis, Van Jones, and Zem and James Joaquin.

Also speaking on the day was Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks, CEO of Earth Friendly Products and sponsor of the event.

Earth Friendly Products was founded by Vlahakis-Hanks’ father, who migrated to the US from Greece.

A ground-breaking approach at the time, the CEO has continued in her father’s footsteps, helping the environment while improving her brand.

Also present at the award ceremony were Jessica Biel and Dita Von Teese, among various others.
