Extreme Islamic preacher Hamza Andreas Tzortzis is allegedly on the leaked list of members subscribed on the infidelity dating website Ashley Madison.

Tzortzis, a prominent figure of the Islamic Education and Research Academy, became internet-famous via his debates with atheist Richard Dawkins.

The Greek UK-based preacher, has denied signing up for an Ashley Madison account, claiming his data were put there as part of a conspiracy to defame him.

“It has come to my attention that my details are on the Ashley Madison data leak. This includes my name, address, and bank card details,” Tzortzis wrote on his Facebook profile.

“This is an obvious case of fraud. My email address … can be found online and so can my address, as it is linked to my business account, which is registered online.”

Tzortzis also wrote that he has filed a formal complaint with the police over the hack of his bank details. However, according to the leaked data, the first transaction seems to have been made whilst the preacher was in Australia a few months ago. The revelations include personal information that couldn’t have easily been disclosed by a third party.

“It could have been someone who knows me, someone who hates me, or a malicious person who found out who I was. It could be one person or two, they could be working locally, from abroad or both,” his status concluded.

Tzortzis is known for his radical Islamic views including several controversial remarks such as those who leave Islam “should be killed” and has voiced his support of setting up an Islamic caliphate.
