Thanks to a Greek billionaire, fans of Whitney Houston will have the chance to see her recreated in holographic form.

According to a Vanity Fair report, the late singer’s sister-in-law Pat Houston recently gave Alki David permission to go ahead with the project.

In a statement, Pat said it will be “a great opportunity for her fans to see a reinvention of one the most celebrated female artists in history and to continue a legacy of performances that will not be forgotten in years to come”, while for David, it is a dream come true.

“The opportunity to help share her spectacular gifts with the world again is exactly what I hoped for when I built the hologram business,” he said.

David, alleged to have a net worth of $1.7 billion in 2012, is the owner of Hologram USA. His company will be in charge of creating the hologram, in partnership with FilmOn Studios and Whitney’s estate.

The late singer, who died a tragic death three years ago, joins the likes of Tupac Shakur and Elvis Presley in getting the hologram-treatment.

The project is expected to be completed by 2016, and will be available for live streaming via the free online app FilmOn.com
