The Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HACCI) held its Delphi Bank Business Forum at the Greek Centre on Lonsdale Street earlier this week.
The forum featured prominent keynote speakers from the Greek Australian community, detailing services and products that can be utilised by the diaspora.
HACCI president Nick Mylonas emphasised the organisation’s importance in maintaining a connection between aspiring industry representatives in Australia and Greece.
“HACCI primarily creates opportunities for our members to meet and connect. We develop government and industry alliances, enhance and develop bilateral trade relations between Australia and Greece, and identify and develop trade opportunities,” Mr Mylonas said.
“Furthermore, HACCI utilises its resources to develop initiatives that support our economy and community, we host events and information sessions that stimulate thought leadership, and we provide opportunities for the next generation of business leaders through the HACCI Young Professionals Network.”
Mr Mylonas also paid tribute to Delphi Bank for its contribution to the Greek Australian community.
“Unlike other banks, Delphi Bank is in the community, they’re part of the community, and they support community organisations and initiatives. They walk the walk on community engagement,” he said.
HACCI will now host the Excellence Awards, to be presented at its Gala Ball at the Grand Hyatt on November 21.
