A joint operation between Greek and German police has seen a hash smuggling ring come undone.

According to a report by Kathimerini, the operation commenced on Monday night and followed through to Tuesday.

As a result, 210 kilograms of hashish was found and confiscated in a truck at the port of Igoumenitsa along with the arrest of four people in Greece and Germany.

The drugs were discovered to be imported from Albania to Greece and from there set to be distributed across to various central European countries.

Albanian drug lords are believed to be responsible said Greek police, who manage close to 80 per cent of the hashish distribution across the continent.
