A shepherd in northern Greece got a shocking surprise on Saturday while tending to his flock.

Located outside a village cemetery in northern Greece, the man found a black bag with two jars, each containing an embryo in what was discovered to be formaldehyde, according to the AP.

After making the discovery in the village of Vryssaki, located west of Thessaloniki, the man immediately contacted the police.

The embryos, which were fully formed, have been estimated to be in their 20th week.

They have since been taken to the coroner’s office while police conduct further investigations.
