Malvern City’s under 16s was crowned champion of the Shepparton Gala Tournament after beating Dandenong Thunder on penalties after the 1-1 fulltime score-line.
Malvern’s Evan Kosmarikas also won the tournament’s golden boot award.
Coached by Ange Dallas and assistant coach Steve Aivaliotis, the team also overcame South Melbourne 3-1 in the semi-finals.
