The Athenian Association of Sydney and New South Wales will unite with Greek families and their friends as they gather to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Olympic Games of Athens 2004.
Greek Dancing Group Paroula Thurban will be performing the symbolic lighting of the torch of the eternal Hellenic and Olympic flame whilst many Greek Australian volunteers from Sydney will be present to speak about their recollection and impressions of the remarkable event.
At the end, the magical Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Game, from Friday 13 August 2004, will be played on the big screen.
The function is coordinated by 2004 volunteer, Dimitrios Kametopoulos.
Everyone is welcome to enjoy an Olympics Day of Athens and Greece.
