Greece has one hope left for qualifying for the round of 32 of the Europa League after PAOK managed to score a win against FC Dinamo Minsk.

The Thessaloniki team just need a win in its last match of the group stage to make it through, and showed it has what it takes when it managed a 2-0 victory.

Two late goals from Stefanos Athanasiadis made the difference, but were saved a number of times by the team’s goalie as the Belarusians pushed to equalise.

Needing a win to maintain any hope of making it to the round of 32, Asteras Tripolis fell short after climbing back from a two goal deficit against Beşiktaş JK.

The Turkish club is now through to the next round after mathematically sitting on top of the group with one match to go.

Asteras came back in the dying minutes of the match to push through two goals thanks to substitute Jerónimo Barrales scoring a close-range header and Facundo Parra’s drive, but it was not enough to earn it three points.

For Panathinaikos, an early goal thanks to Marcus Berg was the only positive after the club couldn’t stave off group leaders FC Dinamo Moskva.

A Kostas Triantafyllopoulos deflection evened things up after the break and then Aleksei Ionov hit what proved to be the winner for Dinamo to progress freely.

For Cyprus’ last remaining team, Apollon Limassol hopes were dashed when FC Zürich claimed a 3-1 victory.

Apollon actually opened the scoring with a brilliant effort from Farley but the Swiss side drew level through Berat Djimsiti.

Two Yassine Chikhaoui spot kicks sealed victory for the Swiss, who sit third on Group A’s standings.
