A heavily pregnant and homeless Vicky Dertilis, 38, had been accused of charging for sex while living out of a tent on a residential nature strip last week.

According to the police preliminary brief Dertilis and her partner Glenn Bower, were living in the tent for two weeks. Concerns are raised due to her condition as she is 7 months pregnant and could go into early labour.

“Police also have concerns for the accused and her unborn child as she is using heroin daily and has admitted to performing sex for money on a regular basis,” the brief mentions.

A warrant for her arrest was issued on 1 August after she failed to appear on bail regarding charges of inviting sex work services, behaving in an indecent manner in a public place, handling stolen goods, theft, and eight other counts of obtaining property by deception.

The woman was arrested on August 8 and partner had been removed out the front of a house on Scott St, Dandenong by officers, previous to that she had been squatting in abandoned homes.

Meanwhile, Dertilis who was due to attend Dandenong Magistrates’ Court today failed to turn up again leading magistrate Pauline Spencer to issue yet another warrant.
