How would you like to trade in the Australian winter, for summer in Greece? Well that could be more of a reality for those who are strapped for cash, thanks to budget airline Scoot whose flights are now on sale from Australia to Athens.

The new tariffs announced by Singapore Airline’s subsidiary, which starts flying to Greece from Australia as of June 20, apply to all tickets for travel between July 4 and October 28.

To fly economy from Melbourne, Sydney or Perth to Athens via Singapore, flights start at $508, while Business class flights will start at $1448.

The prices however, only apply one way from Australia to Greece, with a different price for the return flight.

It should also be noted that the aforementioned prices only include seven kilograms of hand luggage. Passengers have the option to purchase additional baggage, and if completed at the time of booking, the cost will be smaller in comparison to adding additional kilos at a later date.

If choosing to travel light however, passengers also have the option to purchase an additional seven kilograms of hand luggage. This way not only is the passenger assured 14 kilograms of luggage, but they are also able to skip the waiting time at the carousel following arrival, and get straight to a kiosk for that frappe you’ve been dreaming about.

Passengers travelling from Australia to Greece will enjoy their journey to the Mediterranean on air crafts Boeing 787-9 and 787-8 Dreamliner, which have a capacity of 375 and 335 passengers respectively.
