The Socratic Discussion Group will be meeting once again at the end of the month to embark on an exploration of contemporary issues.

Don’t be intimidated though – anyone can join in, you don’t need a background in philosophy.

Hosted by the Hellenic Museum, the discussion will be led by Melbourne University’s Dr Christopher Gribbin, who will guide the group using a version of the Socratic method.

Set to be entertaining and thought-provoking, the method is known to help focus the conversation, ensure everyone has a chance to participate and assist you to understand different perspectives and think about issues in new ways.

Topics vary each month and cost of attendance is just $5 per person, with light refreshments provided on the night.

For further information, don’t hesitate to contact Christopher at cgribbin@unimelb.edu.au
