Sadly the Hawthorn Spartans didn’t even get a match last week as their opponents North Old Boys/St Patricks conceded by forfeit.
But, that win has boosted their rankings, sitting second on the ladder just bellow the Old Xaverians.
They will be hoping to hit the pitch with a bang on Saturday as they return home to host their major sponsor day.
The club is taking on new opponents Richmond Central in the hopes of climbing their way up to top position.
They’re hoping as many fans as possible make it to support the club and grab a souvlaki from the canteen.
The match will start today at 11.40am at home, Rathmines Reserve, Rathmines Road, Hawthorn.
