The Hawthorn Spartans were able to keep their fans happy on their souvlaki sponsor day last week, managing a comfortable 33 point win over Richmond Central at home.
Richmond Central only got on top for 10 minutes in the third quarter before the Spartans clawed back and dominated the match.
Team manager, George Demetriou said the team’s win was extra special considering it was “one of the best structured, organised and well drilled team we have played”.
Hoping to capitalise on that momentum, the Spartans will be on point as they take on Old Geelong away on Saturday at 11:40am at Como Park.
They sit second on the ladder, four points away from top placed Old Xaverians.
