The Hawthorn Spartans faced an arm wrestle last week against ladder leader Old Xaverians in the second semi-final held on Saturday.
The game went down to the wire, with the Spartans losing out by a mere four points with the final score finishing 12.11.83 to 11.13.79.
That was despite the side piling on two-goals-seven in the final quarter.
Luckily for the Spartans, they secured the double chance in the home-and-away season and will face Richmond Central in a preliminary final for the chance to face the Old Xaverians again in the grand final.
The club is urging all fans to come and throw their support behind the group tomorrow at 2.00 pm at Sportscover Arena, Glenhuntly Road, Elsternwick.
