The Hellenic Museum is once again bringing film enthusiasts an exciting program of Greek cinema from the ’50s through to the ’70s.

As part of the Summer Arts Festival, the Summer Cinema program is set to kick off in the new year on 31 January.

Screenings will take place in the museum’s private garden Pavilion every Saturday evening, running through February and March.

The return of the outdoor cinema will also see a come-back for Con Christopoulos’ pop-up Pagoto.

The renowned restaurateur behind some of Melbourne’s most well-known venues will have his mouth-watering gelato on offer, with Greek inspired flavours including ouzo, baklava and rosewater.

Last year’s program was a great success, with a focus on classic films from Greece’s golden era of cinema, such as the 1956 hit Girl in Black and Blood on the Land (1966).

Expected to be another exciting summer, we await the new program with bated breath, which is set to be released next month.
