A 27-year-old man alleged to have killed his 4-year-old daughter before cutting up her body and boiling the pieces insisted in testimony before a magistrate that he did not kill the girl.

The suspect was transferred from a Corfu prison where he is in pretrial custody to the capital’s main court complex to stand trial for a drug-related offence but the trial did not take place due to delays.

The 27-year-old allegedly gave a different story regarding the disposal of the girl’s body, suggesting that a friend of his had done it.

In an earlier deposition, he allegedly claimed to have found the girl dead, from causes that he did not specify, before mutilating her to dispose of the corpse in a panic.

In a related development, sources said an anonymous letter has been sent to the magistrate, suggesting that the girl’s death could be linked to an organ-trafficking racket or paedophilia racket.
