With Yanis Varoufakis being one of the few politicians enjoying such widespread popularity, the news that he has become a fashion inspiration should come as no surprise.

An online company, based in Melbourne, recently launched a series of clothes and other accessories with the name and face of Greece’s former finance minister printed on them.

From plain T-shirts to hoodies, miniskirts to leggings, Varoufakis appears as ‘Joker’, Che Guevara or the avenger ‘V’ from the V for Vendetta movie.
The series also includes mugs, notebooks, bags, i-Phone cases and pillows with funny logos like ‘Keep Calm and Love Yanis’.

Prices range from $3-$60 for small items, while hardcore fans eager to sleep under a Varoufakis duvet would have to pay a little over $100.

The company behind the venture was founded in 2006 in Melbourne, but has since then expanded to becoming an online marketplace collaborating with individual artists and creators from London, Seattle and San Francisco.
