The home of the Greek Community Rhodian Brotherhood in Fairfield has sold after auction by agents Gray Johnson for $1,950,000, or just over $3,200 a sqm.

The Rhodian Brotherhood is a long-established and robust Greek community organisation that has been the long-term owner and occupier of the property, using the older style, 390 sqm community building as a clubroom and bar.

The brotherhood is now seeking to buy a new property to serve the needs of its members.

The purchaser, a residential developer, is proposing up to five townhouse units on the site on the corner of Duncan Street, which holds a General Residential zoning.
