Inspired by the taste of homemade traditional Greek yoghurt, brought about by a recipe passed down through generations, Procal started up in Victoria in 2003 to compete with the state’s main dairy supply companies, National Foods and Parmalat. In 2006, it moved in on Dairy Farmers’ territory in Sydney.

Procal has been taking over the dairy industry since, going from strength to strength. Last week, Procal Greek was awarded the Highest Scoring Greek-Style Yoghurt in Australia.

It is a smooth, thick and delicious yoghurt which can be used for a variety of serving and cooking applications, free of added sugar and preservatives.
In 2015 the brand’s Greek-style received the Royal Melbourne Fine Foods Award.

Procal’s 2wirl Yoghurt, an indulgent, smooth and creamy yoghurt infused with natural fruit flavours, has also been awarded gold at the 2015 Dairy Industry Awards. It is gelatine free, gluten free, contains acidophillus, bifidius and casei and is free from artificial colours and flavours.

The brand also strive to minimise the environmental impact of everything we do. It operates a back-to-base recycling program which enables wholesale customers to return their used bottles via a distribution system. As a result, the company has been able to collect and recycle approximately 40 per cent of all the bottles it sells.
