After a successful 2017 Adelaide Fringe season, the Two Greek Australians Walk into a Bar show is coming to the 2017 Melbourne Fringe Festival this month.

The show features two Greek Australian artists Stan Bastiras and Ross Vosvotekas in eight performances during the festival. The show is a mixture of comedy and musical mayhem, celebrating Greek Australian culture.

Stan has performed music for over thirty years. At university he skipped science lectures, devoting hours to playing a grand piano in a darkened cinema to anonymous students, before quietly stealing out. He still managed to graduate and get a job, this only deferred his undying thirst to create music. In 2013 he wrote and staged an original musical called Mick & Leo, which was performed in Adelaide.

Ross has been performing comedy for ten years, hosting variety shows across venues in the Adelaide CBD and has run comedy room Cranker Comedy since 2011. He writes, directs, performs and produces theatre, including over fifteen productions since 2004. Last year he performed his debut Edinburgh Fringe show: The Ross Voss Comedy Experience. He has recently directed, produced, and performed in Marathon by Edoardo Erba at Adelaide’s Bakehouse Theatre.

Two Greek Australians Walk into a Bar is on at Hobba (428 Malvern Rd, Prahran, VIC) from 20 – 29 September. The show is approximately 50 minutes with no interval, and contains coarse language and adult themes.
