People aged over 65 years of age have seen rapid technological advances in their lifetime, while technology, and particularly access to computers, internet, and smartphones, has completely changed the aging process.

Technology decreases feelings of isolation for seniors as it makes keeping in touch with family and friends easier.

Participation in social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and the use of Skype reportedly increases mental capabilities and memory, stimulates the brain and slows down dementia.

Being able to access online support services or ask for help online has also helped to save lives.

Not only the elderly, but also their carers and families can access the whole world by just clicking a button.

Pronia has scheduled a free workshop on how to use an iPad for absolute beginners who either do not have an iPad or don’t know how to use one.

There is a limited number of seats available. If you have an iPad you are encouraged to bring it along.
