An iconography exhibition promising to inspire and uplift all those who are artistically inclined will be held during the Orthodox Holy Week.
Natalia Butreva and Manolis Mavrommatis will host a special Orthodox Easter Period Exhibition, with the opportunity of the upcoming festivities of Greek Easter.
The artists will exhibit a sample of their work with a series of icons created by employing the techniques of traditional and encaustic painting on wood.
The two artists aim at making the exhibition an annual event, to be held every year during the Orthodox Easter period, with the proceeds of the exhibition being donated to charity.
Proceeds from this year’s exhibition will be donated to the Australian Greek Welfare Society.
The exhibition will take place from Holy Monday, 29 April, to Holy Thursday, 1 May, at the Clayton Community Centre, 9-15 Cooke St, Clayton, VIC, from 12-4pm. For more information, contact Manolis Mavrommatis on 0468 325 737.
