British journalist and author Jennifer Barclay has swapped her life in the cold of England to live and write on the island of Tilos. And she’s taken her love and life on the island even further, penning the novel Falling in Honey: Life and Love on a Greek Island.
The book has been described as Shirley Valentine meets My Big Fat Greek Wedding meets Eat Pray Love, and chronicles the tale of one woman’s journey to a Greek island to find herself again.
The protagonist Jen decides to give three gifts to herself. One and two are to reduce her workload and stay away from relationships, and gift three is to spend one month on a tiny, remote Greek island. But once there, she decides to stay longer, because life is too short not to reach out for what makes you happy. But just when everything is falling into place again, something very strange happens.
Falling in Honey is an honest novel filled with the right amount of comedy and romance and covers the unforgettable journey from heartbreak to happiness.
