A police officer is facing charges of blackmail after being caught receiving 950 euros in marked bills, aged 35, in the central Athens neighborhood of Aghios Panteleimonas.
The 28-year-old officer allegedly told the Iraqi man to pay him 2,000 euros to expunge a criminal charge that the policeman claimed was pending against him.
