The backdrop to many Greek Australian weddings is celebrating its 40th anniversary.
Sydney’s outlandish Curzon Hall, a 110-year-old castle, alongside three other venues, are celebrating their 40th year in the hands of family hospitality group, Navarra Venues.
The Italian Australian group holds four venues in Sydney, Conca D’oro, Le Montage, Curzon Hall and Oatlands House, that have hosted more than 68,000 events.
They have catered to over 5.8 million guests, many of them Greek Australians celebrating some of their most intimate moments.
The price tag for many of these outlandish weddings can go up into the hundreds of thousands, with the halls hosting some of the community’s wealthiest couples and guests.
The venue Le Montage even hosts the Estia Foundation of Australia biennial fundraising dinner every year.
