Known for his sardonic wit and social critiques, Greek American writer and humourist David Sederis has annouced an Australian tour. Sederis has become one of the word’s pre-emminet humour writers, known for his best selling essays, Barrel Fever, Naked, Holidays on Ice, Dress Your Family in Corduroy, Denim, When You Are Engulfed in Flames and Me Talk Pretty One Day. A regular commentator on public radio and late-night TV in the US, Sederis will be bringing his musings on the human condition to Australian audiences early in January next year. Sedaris will touch on his new book, Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls in his Australian show ‘An Evening with David Sedaris’.
Sedaris was discovered in Chicago when a radio host heard him reading his diary out. He has kept his diary going since 1977 and is the inspiration for many of his radio podcasts.
Four shows are booked for the Australian tour, one each in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, and Brisbane. Tickets range from $49 to $65 and can be booked via http://www.davidsedaristour.com.au/
