Set in modern day Greece, Worlds Apart tells three separate love stories, between a Greek and a foreigner. The narratives represent a different generation falling in love during the European crisis, which eventually connect to a single story.
The Delphi Bank 23rd Greek Film Festival today announced the Australian premiere of the film, starring Academy Award winner J.K. Simmons, will kick start the 12 day Festival (October 12 – 23, 2016) at Palace Cinemas, Norton Street on Tuesday 11 October, 2016.
“We are very excited to open the Festival with Papakaliatis’ second feature. Worlds Apart shows that despite its harsh realities, Greece is still a place where truth, beauty and humanity exist,” said Festival Chair, Nia Karteris.
