Bruno Senna will drive for the Williams team this year from Brazilian Rubens Barrichello.

Senna who replaced Nick Heidfeld at Renault last season, was overlooked for this year’s drive as the Renault factory team opted to go with Kimi Raikkonen and relative new driver Romain Grosjean.

Bruno Senna’s return to Williams is significant as his late uncle, three-time world champion Ayrton Senna, was driving for Williams F1 when he was killed at the San Marino Grand Prix in May 1994. Senna’s team-mate will be Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado who was the number two driver for Williams last year. Senna will take his first test drive in a Williams F1 in Jerez on February 9 and will meet a few people in the Williams team who actually worked with his uncle Ayrton.
