The Hawthorn Spartans outplayed their Fitzroy Red opponents last Saturday scoring an emphatic 103 point win. More importantly new Spartan players made their debut in this game which indicated the side’s depth of talent.

With 11 different goal kickers, Hawthorn completely eclipsed the opposition pulling up in the last quarter and doing it easy.

The Spartans will now play an intra club practice match on Wednesday night at St James Park, our new training ground for 2012 in preparation for the final
practice match on Saturday April 14 against Old Mentonians at Mentone Grammar, before the club jumper presentation evening on April 18 and the season opener on April 21.
