Crete is getting a new highway, linking Elafonisi to Chrisoskalitissa.
The Topolia highway is set to be one of the largest construction projects on the island. It is a positive development, which will significantly benefit the increasing tourism, and the local economy by giving motorists easier and faster access to their desired destinations.
On Monday local government officials revealed that the project is expected to be completed by June 2019, just in time for the summer.
