Woorim was a sea of blue and white on Sunday, with the seaside suburb in Moreton Bay hosting the Bribie OPA Greek Festival.

Run near the quaint Greek Orthodox Archdiocese’s Retreat and Recreation Centre, perched on a hilltop, the setting was not unlike that of a Greek plateia, but with an Australian twist.

There was plenty of Greek food and wine on offer, along with music and dancing, which set the kefi for the day.

The event was a chance to showcase Greek culture to the wider community, and to celebrate its various and distinct regions.
