Sydney Olympic: Abbas Saad’s team wasn’t successful at the Ilinden Sports Centre against Rockdale, and was defeated 1-0 thanks to a late Urosevski goal. This loss brings them to the second position of the NPL of New South Wales with 36 points, two points away from the Tigers, who are now in the lead. The next opponent for Sydney Olympic is Sydney FC, who is currently last on the table. They will face them on 21 July.
Sydney Olympic: Henderson, Whiteside, Culeski, Angel, Pavicevic, Max Burgess, An, Sanchez Lopez, Hooper, Darcy Burgess, Woodcock.

Olympic FC: In what can only be described as a spectacle of a game, Olympic FC weren’t able to take a win from Cairns, as the local team proved to have a ‘never say die’ attitude. The red and whites managed to take the lead in the 30th minute with Smith, but Cairns equalised about half an hour later through an O’Hare goal. A few minutes after that, Olympic reclaimed the lead with Whyte, but two minutes later Cairns scored again thanks to Zupo, who formed the final 2-2 score. This draw sees Olympic falling from the number one spot in Queensland’s NPL, sliding to third with 44 points. In their next game they will face Roar’s youth team.
Olympic FC: Mooney, Stefanutto, Waters, Whyte, Mundy, Sanders, Lofthouse, Psaros, Cuminao, Lasm, Smith.

Hellenic Athletic Club: The team from Darwin did not have a game to play last weekend, despite this fact they did not surrender the top spot in the NPL Northern Territory. Next week they will welcome University Azzurri with the hope of extending their lead.

Darwin Olympic Sporting Club: The latter Greek team from Darwin did not have such great fortune last weekend, as they went down to University Azzurri 3-0 at the Darwin Football Stadium. Their defeat means that they are now four points behind Hellenic in their chase for the top league position. Darwin Olympic will now face Casuarina away from home on 21 July.

West Adelaide: The team from Western Adelaide had a great day at O’Sullivan’s Beach Sports and Community Centre as they beat the Panthers by 1-4. This result brings them to the eighth position of the NPL of South Australia with 21 points, and they will soon have the opportunity to climb even higher, as next week they will face the Para Hills Knights who are right above them at seventh place.

Adelaide United FC: The other South Australian Greek team was not as successful this week, as they were stuck on a goalless draw against the Croydon Kings at Polonia Reserve, which means that they are now sixth on the NPL SA ladder with 22 points. Next week they will welcome Adelaide United, who happens to be in fifth place, so things may be changing soon.

Olympia Warriors FC: A second heavy defeat at home for the Warriors this week as they were annihilated by South Hobart 1-4. This loss came right after last week’s complete surrender to the Hobart Zebras (0-5). Despite all this, Olympia still remain in fifth position of NPL Tasmania with 16 points, 13 away from leaders Devonport. Next week they will be given the chance for a fresh start at Wentworth Park, where they will face Clarence United.

Hamilton Olympic FC: The team from Newcastle was unsuccessful at the local derby, losing to the Jets’ youth team 3-2 at the Darling Street Oval. This result saw the gap between the two teams widen to four points and Hamilton remaining in seventh position on the NPL Northern NSW ladder. As if that wasn’t enough, next week Hamilton will be called to face league leaders Edgeworth at the Jack McLaughlan Oval.

Floreat Athina: After a successful breakthrough from Glory’s homeground and a 2-2 draw, this week Athina continued their string of good results, taking down the Stirling Lions 3-1 at home. Thanks to their good form, they continue to climb the ranks of the NPL WA and are now sitting in eighth position. Next week will find them visiting the Perth Plasterboard Centre Stadium, where they will meet Inglewood United.
