It was all about fashion – and cocktails for a good cause when OPA! magazine joined forces with Fundraising Research of Cancer (FROC) to present MODA, a fashion fundraising event held on Wednesday at Spice Market, in Melbourne.
Delicious cocktails with vodka, passionfruit, blue curacao and sugar syrup where offered to the guests on entry, as the evening of fashion began with models showcasing the best of Greek Australian designers clothes and jewellery from: Alex Perry, Christopher Chronis, Arthur Galan, Anthea Solopotias, Barbara Kalaidopoulos (Barbara Kali), Vicky Pappas (Vergara), Sue Sensi accessories.
With George Donikian as the MC, the night also created awareness for cancer, by promoting the work of the accomplished photographer Peter Coulson and his new book of photos that present sufferers, families and celebrities touched by cancer, but also through the presence of the Fundraising Research of Cancer (FROC).
Two brave women volunteered to shave their heads to raise awareness for cancer.
Cancer is something that affects everyone and with this event OPA! magazine wanted to create awareness, raise money – through raffles and auction of designer items – and show the world just how giving Greeks can be when working together.
A successful and glamorous night was had by all who attended.
