The book Greeks in the Far Orient was officially launched in Melbourne last week by former premier of Victoria John Brumby.
Distinguished guests, politicians and members of the Greek community gathered at the EEAMA centre to hear the author, Professor Anastasios Tamis discuss the history of the book.
The book – which took five years to research and conducted in 12 countries – is about Greek migration and settlement in the Levant and the Far Orient. It also discusses the Hellenic influence in the Far Orient.
