The Greek Student Film Festival is back and in its eighth year, it is ready to give young people across Australia the chance to draw upon their Greek culture and heritage through film-making.

Once again, as part of the Delphi Bank 25th Greek Film Festival the committee will present a selection of imaginative films from primary and secondary students studying the Greek language.

With an aim to keep young passionate creative minds connected to their heritage and preserve the Hellenic language, participants will have the opportunity to use Greek as a means to express themselves and reflect their surroundings.

Apart from the The Greek Film Festival, the student project is made possible with the help of the Greek Community of Melbourne, the Education Office of the Greek Consulate General in Melbourne, the Department of Education and Training and the Modern Greek Teachers Association of Victoria.

In order to be eligible, the films must be a short fiction, animation or documentary and must incorporate the chosen theme; cash prizes will be awarded in the primary and secondary categories.
