More than 100 people gathered in Oakleigh Hall on Sunday, to take part in an open meeting addressing community issues, and be informed on Liberal party policies.

The issues covered included cost of living increases, health and education, public transport, road congestion and crime.

Many raised concerns about the plight of Victoria’s Taxi and Hire Car Industry, as a result of the Andrews government reforms.

A large number of the families affected by the reforms were able to raise their concerns with David Davis MP, Shadow Minister for Public Transport, who repeated the Liberal party’s promise to establish a panel of review, if elected.

Local policeman, Andrew Edmonds, who is running in the next Victorian State election as the Liberal candidate for Oakleigh, promised to be an honest, transparent and fierce advocate for the community and to restore trust towards the state government.
