The National Union of Greek Australian Students (NUGAS) celebrated their first major event for 2018, the annual ball.
But beyond an unforgettable night, this year’s function was also an opportunity for members of the organisation to express solidarity to those affected by the East Attica bushfires.
Proceeds from tickets, were donated to the recent Athens Bushfire radiothon appeal, while the committee added a further amount raising the overall donation to $1,000.
With approximately 900 people in attendance, including around 50 students coming all the way from Sydney to attend, it is safe to say that the event, held on Sunday 23 September, at Peninsula Docklands, was a success.
Keeping the crowd on the dance floor was Greek band Rythmos, while guests enjoyed an after party at a nearby club.
